Sunday School Teachers Needed–YOU!!
As we look forward to a new year (2010 is about a month away!), there will be a few changes happening on Sunday mornings for the youth.
Sunday School will meet at the normal time and in the normal place. However, we are asking new teachers to step up to teach: the students! Mrs. Jilbert and I have discussed the idea of having the high school students help teach Sunday School in the younger students’ classrooms. If you are in high school and are interested in being a teaching assistant for one of the classes, please let me know. I need 5 students who are willing to help.
As a teacher’s assistant, you will have an opportunity to lead some aspect of the lesson each week, whether its telling the Bible story, memorizing the Bible verse, an activity or craft, or something else.
Being a teacher’s assistant will require some advanced preparation, but it will not take a ton of time. You will need be familiar with the lesson before you arrive and be prepared to lead your part. If you will not be able to make it one week, you will be asked to let the teacher know. Otherwise, they will be counting on you!
If you would like to volunteer–or if you are a parent who would like to volunteer your student–please let Mike know!
