We had a great time at the Social at Westminster Pres this past Sunday. About 10 people from Redeemer along with the Youth Groups from Westminster and Lakemont enjoyed a great time of fellowship, worship, food, and fun. A special thanks to the folks at Westminster for hosting the event and feeding all of us!
After a period of mixer games (getting to know each other), we had a delicious meal of soup, grilled cheese, and cookies. Yummy! Later, we all got together and had worship, led by Noah, the new Youth Director at Lakemont PCA. We sang some old favorites as well as some new songs that we can incorporate into our worship at RYM.
After worship, we traveled down the hallway to the gym where David, Westminster’s Youth Pastor, led a rousing game of Cranes & Crows (to see video footage of the guys beating the girls, check out the Video link at the top, or click on this link). After the victory for the guys, the guys also dominated the Pull Apart game, even though the women were allowed to tickle the guys and the guys were not allowed to tickle the girls. I will give a shout out to Amanda Freeman and Sydney Umstead for hanging on the longest for the girls! Great job ladies!
All in all, it was a great time. Hopefully we will be doing things more fun events with Westminster, Lakemont, and other youth groups as well.
